Ante Rebic Still Monitor the Development of Eintracht Frankfurt
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AC Milan striker Ante Rebic admits he is still monitoring the development of his former club Eintracht Frankfurt, even though he has collected six goals in 15 matches for the Italian club.
“Of course, I keep monitoring Eintracht matches. I follow (their) matches until the last moment before the corona virus,” Rebic said.
“I see the team playing well, but often without luck. Hopefully everything will be appropriate throughout this season,” he added.
The Croatian international spent three seasons in Frankfurt after being brought in from Fiorentina in 2016. He started his career poorly while serving ten games at RB Leipzig and Hellas Verona without a goal, before then performing brilliantly in Frankfurt.
At Commerzbank Arena, Rebic collected 25 goals and 12 assists from 100 matches in all competitions. Together with Luka Jovic and Sebastian Haller, the three formed the death trident for Die Adler.
At the beginning of this season Frankfurt recorded three wins from four matches, but then they swallowed three successive defeats before the German League had to be stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rebic also hopes his club will return to show its best game. “I keep communicating with (Frankfurt midfielder) Maccol. Gacinovic almost every day. One day I want to return to Frankfurt,” he concluded.
