Antonio Cassano believes CR7 has failed at Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Italy striker, Antonio Cassano gave his comments on Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo. Cassano thinks Ronaldo has failed at Juventus.
Cassano, who has defended AS Roma, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan, said that Juventus’ main goal in bringing Ronaldo was to win the Champions League. But the Portuguese star made Juventus even worse.
It is undeniable that individually Ronaldo cannot be called a failure. Together with Juventus, Ronaldo continues to score goals and contribute to victories. But Cassano has a different opinion.
“Juventus purchased him to win the Champions League, but their form is much worse than before,” Cassano told Corriere dello Sport.
“Juventus also won the Scudetto without him. I think he has failed.”
For Juventus’ situation this season, Cassano thinks Ronaldo cannot work with Andrea Pirlo, the current Juventus coach.
“Ronaldo still scores goals, because he knows how to do it. But Pirlo wants to build the game, press opponents and play between the lines. This means Ronaldo’s participation in the game is not much,” Cassano elaborated.
