Arsenal experienced Obstacles to Recruit Houssem Aouar

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Arsenal are reportedly experiencing obstacles to bring in Houssem Aouar. This is because Aouar prefers to head to the club that competes in the Champions League.

Aouar became one of the transfer targets eyed by Arsenal. The Gunners are reportedly trying to recruit Aouar from Olympique Lyon before the summer transfer exchange closes this October 5.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta also stressed that his team still needs new players. He revealed this after Arsenal won 2-1 over West Ham United on Sunday (20/9).

“Until the transfer exchange is closed, it is still possible,” Arteta said as quoted by Express.

“It all depends on what happens to other players, as I said previously, we are open for discussion, the transfer exchange this time will surprise us,” he explained.

Arsenal are now reportedly trying to sell some players such as Lucas Toreira and Matteo Guendouzi to achieve fresh funds in order to redeem Aouar. Lyon reportedly has set a price of 54.5 million pounds for the 22-year-old midfielder.

However, Arsenal’s ambition to land Aouar at the Emirates Stadium is now reportedly challenging to realize. According to Metro, the French midfielder is a priority for the club that plays in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Arsenal this season will only play in the Europa League. Last season’s Champions League champions, Bayern Munich are said to be strong candidates for Aouar’s new club.

Bayern has reportedly targeted Aouar to cover for Thiago Alcantara’s departure. The Spanish player had just moved to Liverpool. Apart from Bayern, Juventus are also rumored to be enlivening the competition to obtain Aouar’s signature.
