Arsene Wenger Compares Mohamed Salah with Lionel Messi

Mohamed Salah is Liverpool’s mainstay for the past two years. Salah joined the Reds from AS Roma after previously defending Fiorentina.

Since then Mohamed Salah has been a mainstay on Liverpool’s front lines. Salah formed the front-line trident with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

The result, Arsene Wenger has compared Mohamed Salah with Lionel Messi. Unfortunately, the French manager assessed that Salah was not as consistent as Messi in playing.

“In my opinion, Mohamed Salah has similarities with Lionel Messi. However, he must find consistency in appearance like Messi,” said Arsene Wenger.

“I feel Mohamed Salah is a great striker. However, Lionel Messi is more perfect even in giving the ball. Salah is still obsessed with scoring goals. However, I really like it,” added Arsene Wenger.

When he was still handling Arsenal, Arsene Wenger had intended to bring in Mohamed Salah. Unfortunately Wenger lost twice in the fight for Salah, from Chelsea and Liverpool.
