Arturo Vidal says Barcelona is not afraid of Facing Bayern Munich
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Barcelona midfielder, Arturo Vidal said that the Blaugrana were not afraid to face Bayern Munich in the 2019-2020 Champions League quarter-final match. Barcelona will face Bayern Munich at the Estadio da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal, Saturday (15/8) AM.
“Bayern may be in a state of confidence but they have to realize tomorrow is not against the standard Bundesliga teams. They will face Barcelona,” Vidal said in a press conference reported by Reuters, Friday (14/8).
Bayern are favorites to win over Barcelonaa with an impressive performance this season which has resulted in the Bundesliga and German Cup titles. Hansi Flick’s team always won in 18 consecutive matches before this Champions League quarter-final. They also defeated Chelsea with a large aggregate 7-1 in the top 16.
In the last five meetings, Barcelona has indeed struggled to beat Die Bavarian. The Blaugrana have only won once and the rest losing three times and a draw against Bayern.
Even so, Barca are still the team that their opponents have been fearing to date. Moreover, there is still Lionel Messi whose sharpness has not shown any signs of decreasing. That is what Bayern should be aware of.
“I understand pessimistic people, but we are the best team in the world. The problem is, we did not always play the best and we lost the last match in the league. But we have Leo (Messi), we have the best players and will prove it,” concluded Vidal.
