As a result of Underestimating Wolfsberger, AS Roma Failed to Win at the Olimpico
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Rome’s US coach, Paulo Fonseca, was quite annoyed with the appearance of foster children due to underestimating Wolfsberger. That made them fail to win this Austrian representative in the Europa League
In the party against Wolfsberger, AS Roma did manage to get one point. However, they almost did not get points because Wolfsberger was able to look slick and continued to press the Giallorossi backline.
“We made a mistake because we thought we would win easily before the match. But, Wolfsberg is a very good team,” Paulo Fonseca said in a post-match press conference session.
“In that match, we made quite a lot of mistakes and they kept pressing. Naturally, if we fail to get the best results because of the many individual errors from the players on the field,” continued Fonseca added.
The draw achieved by the party against Wolfsberger made AS Roma have to settle for finishing as runner up in Group J. This is certainly not free from Istanbul Basaksehir’s victory over Borussia Moenchengladbach who successfully brought them to finish as group winners.
AS Roma runner-up status will get them tough opponents in the last 32 of the Europa League. Some teams that can be their opponents include Sevilla, Manchester United, Arsenal, and FC Porto.
