AS Roma Trying to Stop the Bad Trend
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AS Roma went through a negative period ahead of the game against Gent in the Europa League. Giallorossi is determined to immediately end the bad trend.
Roma is without a win in their last five matches in all competitions. They only drew once and lost four times.
2020 so far it has not gone smoothly for Rome. The Paulo Fonseca landing team has only won twice in the nine matches that have been played since the turn of the year.
Roma next will host Gent in the first leg of the Europa League last 32 round at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday (2/21/2020) early morning Western Indonesian Time. Roma defender, Chris Smalling, realized his team had to get out of this negative period immediately.
“Our results lately are not good enough, but this week we have two home games in close proximity and we have a chance to make sure it goes well and give us encouragement to make sure the next few months are much better,” Smalling told a press conference ahead of the competition.
“We are clearly going through a very difficult period, but as players we know we are the ones who can get the team out of this situation.”
“We all work hard to make improvements, individually and collectively.”
“You can see how hard each player works, in the gym, on the training ground, in the analysis. We have 20 players who all want to play on Thursday, all of them itching to prove themselves,” he said as reported by Italian Football.
