Ashley Young promises to bring Inter Milan to victory
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Ashley Young expressed great determination after officially signing a contract with Inter Milan, Friday (1/17/2020). He wants to bring the Nerazzurri to victory by winning various trophies.
Once introduced as a new Inter Milan player, Ashley Young was as excited. He was radiant even though he was only contracted until the end of the season with the option to extend one season. Short contract duration does not make him inferior and loses big ambitions.
“Everything is going well. I hope to make my fans happy and give me many trophies,” Ashley Young was quoted as saying on the official Inter Milan website.
The 34-year-old man also revealed his mission in Giuseppa Meazza. “My message to the fans, success returns to the club. That’s what made me here. I want to help the team achieve its targets.”
Young has enough capital. At least, he has won five titles in 8.5 seasons defending Manchester United. He among others led the Red Devils to win the 2012-13 Premier League, the 2015-16 FA Cup, and the 2016-17 Europa League. Mentality as a winner has been imprinted in him. This is the difference between him in the Inter squad.
Joining Inter Milan made Ashley Young walk in the footsteps of Gerry Hitchens and Paul Ince. Before him, they were the British who defended Inter. Regarding this matter, he said, “Paul Ince is a legend. Being able to walk on his tracks certainly makes me very happy.”
For Inter Milan, Ashley Young became the third player to be recruited from Manchester United this season. Previously, they had brought Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in August 2019. The existence of the two former colleagues would really help the aging defender to adapt to the Nerazzurri’s environment.
