Aurelio De Laurentiis Interested in Recruiting Romelu Lukaku

DBasia.news –  Aurelio De Laurentiis, as President of Napoli, was interested in recruiting Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United. But, De Laurentiis only spoke to his agent about the possibility of Napoli recruiting him.

Lukaku, 26 years old, is indeed the talk of the transfer market this summer. From Inter Milan to Juventus interested in recruiting the Belgian striker. Napoli also had wanted to target him.

De Laurentiis claimed to have talked with Lukaku’s best friend and agent, Federico Pastorello, about the chance that Napoli would recruit him. But, Naples did not submit an offer for the Red Devils.

“You know why there are rumors about him (Lukaku)? Because I am good friends with his agent, Federico Pastorello, the figure I usually wake up in the morning,” De Laurentiis said, quoted by Goal.

“I asked him ‘Do you think Lukaku is suitable to play at Napoli? Will he go to Juventus or not?’ we talked about it, but then we all know it has something to do with the interests of agents to seem to show us making an offer because it raises the price tag (players).”

“That is why I would prefer if the transfer window opens the day after the season ends and closes at the end of July,” De Laurentiis said.

Napoli are associated with several names this summer. After failing to recruit Nicolas Pepe, Napoli reportedly tried to get services from James Rodriguez, Hirving Lozano, and Mauro Icardi.
