Bacary Sagna Surprised by Cesc Fabregas for releasing this statement

DBasia.news –  Arsenal legend, Bacary Sagna, was shocked when his former colleague, Cesc Fabregas, made a controversial statement. Fabregas said that in his time at Arsenal, there were only two Arsenal players who were at his level. The statement he made on Wednesday (3/25/2020)

“I used to be tortured, I was tortured every night and could not sleep. And when you lose, on the team bus you hear some players laughing and talking about where they are going after this. Especially in the last 2-3 years, I felt that only Robin (Van Persie) and Samir (Nasri) are mentally and technically at my level. ” Fabregas stated.

Bacary Sagna was surprised by Cesc Fabregas for releasing this statement

“I was surprised when I read this. From him I was surprised because he was supposed to be the leader in the team. He is one of the best prospects and as a leader, you can’t say that. So I was surprised because he was actually a good person. ” Sagna said as reported by Goal.

Sagna continued that he disagrees with this statement. He felt that at that time Arsenal still had a good moment although not always.

“I disagree with his statement. Yes this is his opinion and he is free to argue, but we all have good moments and bad moments in careers. I’m not sure he always gets good moments with Arsenal. He is still a great player, he has extraordinary qualities, but maybe some people expect more from him. ” Sagna added.

Bacary Sagna played for 7 seasons with the Gunners from 2007-2014. While Fabregas moved to Barcelona in 2011. Sagna won the PFA Team of the Year award twice, in the 2007-08 season with Fabregas and two other Arsenal players, and the 2010-11 season.
