Bad Character Inhibits Arsenal’s Achievement

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Former Arsenal manager Unai, Emery said a number of the Gunners players had a bad attitude.  This was agreed by former Arsenal player Paul Merson.

Merson, who defended Arsenal in the 1985-1997 period, said his juniors were currently lazy to run when they did not control the ball.  This work rate problem which is considered to make Arsenal do not move anywhere instead tends to decrease.

So it is not difficult for the man who is now an analyst to agree with Emery, who said that a number of Arsenal players have bad characters.  Emery feels some players demand more than what he can give to the team.

“I believe what Unai Emery said about the team because they shouldn’t be in the current position with the quality of the players they have. And the results they learned, they didn’t do the right things, without a doubt,” said Merson reported by Sky Sports.

Merson specifically mentions Mesut Oezil in his criticism of the club.  Oezil in the past few seasons has often been highlighted by fans regarding his performance on the field.

The arrival of Mikel Arteta as a manager himself is felt to be starting to trigger improvement.  The former Pep Guardiola assistant at Manchester City has demanded that players want to run more.

“Arteta will not go in and tell Oezil how to pass. But Arsenal for the past 10 years, has become the worst team in the Premier League when they do not have the ball and that’s what he tried to change,” continued Merson.

“It’s all a matter of hard work. Ask any football fan what they want. They just want the players to get on the field and work it out.”

“I have faced one of the best teams of all time, AC Milan. Baresi, Maldini, all those figures. You will not believe how hard they work. They are world-class players, but work harder,” added the man who delivered Arsenal twice.  this English League champion.
