Bellerin: Emery and Wenger Is Different

By news-admin

DBasia.news – Arsenal start a new page without Arsene Wenger this season. After 22 years, Wenger ends the collaboration with the club that he led since 1996. His failure to bring Arsenal to qualify the Champions League for two consecutive seasons is the reason for Wenger’s farewell with The Gunners.

Whatever it is, there’s no turning back. Wenger will be remembered forever in the Arsenal football history as one of the best managers. Now, Arsenal are starting a new era under the Spanish manager, Unai Emery.

Since leading Arsenal after leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Emery did many changes from the coaching staff or new players. Emery led Arsenal in two pre-season friendly matches against Atletico Madrid and PSG.

In these two matches, Arsenal player saw the difference compared to the Wenger era. One of the differences, according to Hector Bellerin, is the more organized and neat performance.

“The coaches have different philosophies, they are completely different. Arsene Wenger was a manager that left a lot of inspiration with the players. He gave you a lot of freedom,” Bellerin said quoted by ESPN.

“And now Unai Emery is a bit more tactical, more organized on the pitch. ‘It’s different philosophies that have worked for them both of them and for us as players, it’s just about replicating what they want on the pitch. We are getting used to it, we are working really hard to understand the way they want to train and the way they want is to play. ‘I think everyone is doing really well and everyone is excited,” the Spanish right-back continued.

Emery’s seriousness to bring back Arsenal’s dignity can be seen by the recruitments of this summer. Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Lucas Torreira, and Matteo Guendouzi are five players joining Arsenal.
