If Arsenal Wins the Premier League, A Miracle in Emery’s Hands

By news-admin

DBasia.news – So far, Unai Emery story with Arsenal went well. Fans, soccer expert, and the players enjoyed The Gunners new playing style, fresher than the previous era under Arsene Wenger, the coach leading Arsenal for 22 years.

Fans’ enthusiasm is higher seeing their beloved team to get the prestigious titles this season, along with the arrival of five new players: Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira, and Matteo Guendouzi.

Arsenal went through three preseason matches against Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Chelsea. As a result, Arsenal won two times against PSG (5-1) and Chelsea (6-5 penalty shootout), and 1-3 penalty shootout defeat by Atletico. Seeing the positive trend, no wonder some Arsenal fans convinced their team will end the absence of Premier League title since 2004.

Arsenal legend, Nwankwo Kanu revealed the same thing. But, if Arsenal got it this season, it means that their achievement is a magic because it’s the first time Emery handles Arsenal. At least, the fans should give some time for the Spanish manager to explain his playing style in Arsenal.

“It takes time for the newcomers, the new signings, to adapt. We have to allow time for him to bring his own style and the way he wants to play. If it happens and they win the league, it’s a miracle,” Kanu said reported by ESPN.

“For the new manager, it’s going to be a very big challenge; the fans want them to perform in the league in his first year, which is always difficult for a new coach.”

“It’s a very big club – coming into a big club you need a trophy, so if you don’t win the league, you need to win the others. It’s hard, but that’s what you expect of a coach of that stature and a big club,” Kanu concluded.

Last season, Arsenal finished outside the Champions League zone. So, the realistic target for Emery is returning The Gunners back to the big four position after failing in two seasons under Wenger era.
