Bandung, Venue for Liga Mahasiswa U21

DBasia.news – Bandung is chosen as the venue for Liga Mahasiswa U21 of Ministry of Sports and Youth Affair in national level on September 13 to 16, 2019. Bandung is chosen due to proper infrastructure.
The deputy assistant in charge for Kemenpora, Alman Hudri, said Bandung has many venues for the football matches.
“After the PON 2016, the infrastructures in Bandung is still great. The government also supports. We don’t face any difficulty in conducting a partnership with West Java,” Alman said after the official opening of Liga Mahasiswa U21 at Sport Jabar Stadium, Arcamanik Bandung, Thursday (13/9).
The goal of this competition to follow-up the policy from President Joko Widodo to boost football.
“We give the infrastructure to compete from 12, 14, and 21. We give the place to measure the training,” he said.
Alman hopes through this competition, there will be some football talents for the Indonesia national team in international level.
“We have seen the result. Like the U16 contributing and participating for AFC,” he said.
On the other hand, the head coordinator of Liga Mahasiswa U21 Heri Fitriansyah said this competition will be joined with Liga Muda FOPPSI U-11.
There will be 48 participants for Liga Mahasiswa U21 for the Liga Muda by FOPSSI.
“This competition has been conducted in regional level from all Indonesia. In total, there are 16 regions, and now the national level in Bandung,” Heri explained.
This competition uses the elimination system and will be conducted at Sport Jabar Stadium, Arcamanik and Siliwangi Stadium, Lombok St, Bandung.
“From total participants, each represents the province. Hopefully, U11 will score the achievement, while the Liga Mahasiswa U21 is looking for the talents,” he concluded.
