Frenkie de Jong
DBasia.news – Barcelona are active in this winter transfer market. After lending Jeison Murillo from Valencia, Barca just signed Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo. Furthermore, Barca would sign Ajax Amsterdam young player, Frenkie de Jong.
Previously, Barcelona lend Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo until the end of this season. The former AC Milan player was signed worth 8 million euro.
After Boateng came, Barcelona won’t stop to sign the new player. According to the news in Spain, El Barca could win the competition with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City in signing De Jong.
Actually, both Manchester City and PSG are one step closer to De Jong. Moreover, both clubs have been communicating with Ajax.
However, De Jong won’t leave either to PSG or Manchester City. De Jong thinks Barcelona are the best for the future.
The Catalunya Radio said Barcelona would close the deal in £65M. Besides that, the club Director Eric Abidal also dropped the hint that El Barca are negotiating with De Jong.
“This question has to be asked to the player. He knows there is interest from many clubs and he will make his decision. We can only wait, like everyone else.” Abidal said.
“We are happy with the squad but there is always a chance. Players who are not playing very much can stay or leave, all scenarios will be evaluated,” Abidal explained.
There’s no need to question Frenkie de Jong’s skill. The 21-year old player has been the backbone of Ajax midfield. This season, the Netherlands national team player has scored four goals and one assist.
Frenkie de Jong’s possibility to Barcelona: 70%
Some sources reported De Jong chooses Barcelona as the next destination. But, he would join next summer.
