Barcelona Prepares a Contract After Gating Jordi Alba From the Hunt of Other CLubs

Jordi Alba
DBasia.news – Jordi Alba has been a major player who played regularly on the left side of Barcelona’s defense since 2012. He was irreplaceable in that position – to the extent that Lucas Digne left for Everton.
Lastly, in the 2017/18 season, Alba was also the key behind Ernesto Valverde’s success in winning two titles in his first season, namely La Liga and the Copa del Rey. He successfully appeared in 48 matches with a score of three goals and 11 assists.
Unfortunately, despite being a reliable player, the Spanish player’s contract conversation did not show any significant progress. Infact he and his agent had felt disappointed because the club continued to postpone the meeting regarding this matter. Alba can even be obtained for free at the end of the 2019/20 season.
But now Barca fans can breathe a sigh of relief, according to a recent report from Sport English, the club has begun to reopen the conversation related to this matter and the 29-year-old will soon sign a new contract that will keep him at Camp Nou until the year 2024.
As is known, Barcelona is in the midst of aggressively adding to the service period of a number of its flagship players, before Alba, the club that had been coached by Pep Guardiola had already extended Gerard Pique’s contract, Lionel Messi and Sergi Roberto.
This news does not seem to be a happy thing for the top European clubs who were reportedly interested in bringing Alba, previously the L’Hospitalet, Spain born player had entered the transfer radar of Juventus and Manchester United.
