Barcelona Still Confident in being able to Bring Willian from Chelsea

DBasia.news –  Barcelona is reportedly still not giving up on bringing Chelsea’s mainstay attacking midfielder, Willian. The Blaugrana still believe they can still bring in the Brazilian to Camp Nou.

Willian is one of the players who is always on the Barcelona target list of players in the last two transfer exchanges. The experienced player is prepared to fill the position of Ousmane Dembele who is diligently injured.

However, realizing the desire of Barca is easier said than done. El Barca must negotiate with Chelsea who basically refuses to release Willian.

Finally, Barcelona’s efforts failed twice. Not because of money problems, but the Blues did not intend to sell the Brazilian player.

Now, Barcelona has received a breath of fresh air. As Willian’s contract with Chelsea will end at the end of this season. That means, Barca can secure Willian for free.

The player has revealed that the chances of staying at Chelsea are quite unlikely. Willian was unsatisfied with the offer submited by the Blues.

“I have built something fantastic at Chelsea. Especially, I like the fans and the people who work there. I feel satisfied,” Willian said as reported by Fox Sports Expediente Futebol.

“Everyone knows my contract will expire in the next few months. It seems, it will be difficult to get an extension. I think it will not be possible because Chelsea offered two years, while I asked for three years. Everything ends there,” he added.

“There are no more talks or negotiations. Chelsea said three years would not be possible. So, at the moment it seems unlikely that I will renew my contract. However, nothing is impossible.”

Willian is one of the senior players at Chelsea. This season, he appeared in 37 games with a score of seven goals plus six assists.
