Bayer Leverkusen CEO Admits there are talks about Kai Havertz’s Transfer
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bayer Leverkusen CEO, Fernando Carro said Chelsea’s target, Kai Havertz wants to take the “next step” in his career.
Havertz is indeed a target for big clubs. Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United are said to be competing for him.
The 2019-2020 season is indeed an arena for Havertz to show his abilities. He was able to score 18 goals and nine assists in 45 matches in all competitions.
Chelsea is the club most eager to hijack Havertz. However, Bayer Leverkusen has refused to let him go as he was still competing in the Europa League.
Now that he has been eliminated, the German club is ready to sell Havertz. Leverkusen CEO, Fernando Carro, even admitted that the player had asked for permission to leave.
“It is always clear that there will be talks after the Europa League ends but there are no official offers yet. Kai has informed us of his desire to make the next step,” Carro told Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger.
“Whether it can happen soon, I can’t say at the moment. There are several clubs that have Kai in their plans for the future.”
Chelsea is said to be ready to spend 76 million euros to bring in Havertz. But Leverkusen sold him for 100 million euros.
The Blues certainly have to complete the transfer of Havertz as soon as possible. If not, other big clubs are ready to overtake at the last corner.
