Bayern Does not Need Coutinho
DBasia.news – Former Bayern Munich player, Stefan Effenberg, thinks Mario Mandzukic is a more suitable option for Bayern than bringing in Philippe Coutinho.
A number of attacking players are reportedly on the coveted list of Bayern Bundesliga champions during the close of the German transfer market. After transporting Ivan Perisic on loan from Inter Milan, Die Roten has been linked several times with other players, but so far it has not produced results.
Bayern has directed their goal to Coutinho, as Barcelona wants to repatriate Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
Given the high price tag, Bayern is believed to be only one of the few clubs that are financially able to redeem the Brazilian international player, however, Effenberg is not convinced that needs to be done.
“Coutinho doesn’t know the Bundesliga or coach Niko Kovac, he doesn’t speak German and is in a top Spanish club but not a regular player,” Effenberg said.
“He only appeared completely eight times in 38 La Liga matches, scoring five goals and five assists. Coutinho has great quality, but a transfer to Bayern will be risky.
“Bayern needs someone who can help quickly, not someone who needs time to adapt, this is not a risk. And there is a better solution than Coutinho in my opinion. “
“Mandzukic will be the second top transfer after Perisic, who will help Bayern return to Europe’s top group.”
“Mandzukic has extraordinary experience, knows the Bundesliga and coach Kovac. He rarely or never gets injured. Mandzukic is still hungry. It will be very useful for two or three years. “
