Bayern Munich Are On the Way to the Treble Winner
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bayern Munich coach Hans-Dieter Flick claimed he was on his way to the second treble winner in club history. Bayern have won the 2019-20 season and are struggling to lift the DFB Pokal and Champions League trophy.
Certainty the Bundesliga2020-20 title was won when Bayern won 1-0 over Werder Bremen in Week 32 which took place at Weserstadion on Wednesday (6/17). The single goal in the match was created by Robert Lewandowski in minute 43rd – Lewandowski’s 31st goal in LaLiga.
Since Hansi Flick coached Bayern in November 2019 to replace Niko Kovac the club won 26 of 29 matches in all competitions. Bayern will still play Bayern Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal final and then against Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League.
“We have now taken the first step and achieved our first big goal by winning the (Bundesliga) championship. But we still have DFB Pokal as our next goal,” Hansi Flick told Sky Sports.
“Of course, there is also the Champions League. Obviously it cannot be planned. It will be quite difficult to go through the match against Chelsea first. Then we will see what will happen. It will be difficult and we must be fit,” he explained.
Bayern’s victory was tarnished against Bremen as in 79th minutes Alphonso Davies received a red card.
“With the Bremen red card being a little bolder. We have to survive and do it sensationally. That is why there is no criticism today,” added Flick.
“I am very happy and can only say it once again: You can never be successful on your own. We are one and I really enjoy it here.”
“The football we have played in a few months has been very sensational. You can feel the passion, enthusiasm and fighting spirit, even today after a red card,” concluded Hansi Flick.
