Beckham Plans to Bring in Griezmann to Inter Miami
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Manchester United star David Beckham is reportedly serious in bringing in Barcelona’s striker, Antoine Griezmann, to his MLS club, Inter Miami.
As is known, Beckham is the majority shareholder of Inter Miami and according to a recent report sourced from Mundo Deportivo, the British player is said to want to make Griezmann as one of the stars in his club.
Griezmann himself in the last few interviews in a number of media have stated that he wanted to play in the United States before retiring.
Although the player has expressed interest in playing in MLS, Beckham is unlikely to be able to sign Griezmann in the near future as the 28-year-old player is still under contract with Barcelona until 2024.
Inter Miami themselves will start their debut season in MLS in March and so far has yet to bring in a single star player (marquee signing) in their squad next season.
They actually approached the former Manchester United captain, Antonio Valencia. But the approach was rejected by the player after the 34-year-old right-back chose to return home to Ecuador to defend LDU Quito.
But for the affairs of tacticians, Beckham has appointed the former Uruguay national team star, Diego Alonso. The 44-year-old man last served as manager of a Mexican club, Monterrey, and officially separated at the end of the 2018/19 season.
