DBasia.news –  Brendan Rodgers, as manager of Leicester City, spoke up about the issue of leaving the mainstay defender, Harry Maguire. Rodgers admits Manchester United have offered Leicester.

Manchester United is said to have been desperate to get Harry Maguire. In fact, the Red Devils are reportedly willing to meet Leicester’s demand for 80 million pounds.

However, so far there has been no sign Maguire will join Manchester United. The England national team player has also not been seen undergoing a medical test like what has been predicted so far.

Apart from Manchester United, there is also Manchester City who are also interested in Maguire. However, until now Brendan Rodgers said there had been no satisfactory offer.

“He is brilliant, very professional, and the supporters must know that he did not force him to leave. He took part in everything we wanted to do,” Rodgers said as reported by Metro.

Manchester United judge Harry Maguire is a player who can patch weaknesses in the backline. Moreover, last season Maguire had a neat record of dueling in the air, an important element for a defender.

“The conversation between me and Maguire will remain a secret. If a team like Manchester City and Manchester United are interested, I understand that. We are still relaxed because as long as the number has not been met, no decision will be taken.”

Earlier, news emerged that said Harry Maguire had forced Leicester City to let him leave. However, this was denied by Brendan Rodgers. The manager revealed, Maguire just wanted to play against Scunthorpe.

“It was Maguire’s decision. He wanted to play even though he did not feel fit enough. He described everything if he was a very professional player. Everything came from his decision,” said Rodgers.
