DBasia.news – Jamie Vardy had to be pulled out during the Leicester City vs West Ham United match at King Power Stadium. Vardy was injured and was pulled out before the end of the first half.
Quoted from the BBC, Thursday (01/23/2020) Leicester City coach, Brendan Rodgers, hopes that the injury to his player is not too severe.
“Hopefully in the next few days, the injury he experienced will subside. “Jamie is an important part of the team, but if we want to succeed, we have to play as a team,” Rodgers said after the match.
Vardy suffered an injury in the back of his left leg after trying to hold the ball. Leicester City have yet to provide an official statement regarding how serious the injury suffered by the striker who has collected 17 goals.
“He certainly would not be able to play in a number of matches in the future. But this team is still playing well and of course we hope he will be fit, “he added.
The Leicester City vs West Ham’s match ended for the Foxes 4-1 victory. Leicester’s four winning goals were scored by Harvey Barnes, Ricardo Barbosa, and two goals from Ayoze Perez.
