Brescia Will Walk Out From Serie A If Competition Continues

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  The president of the Brescia Club, Massimo Celllino, wants this season’s Serie A not to return to running. If the league continues La Leonesa will miss the rest of the season.

The Covid-19 case in Italy has reached 11,574 cases. Brescia is the third-worst province in Italy affected by this virus.

More than 8,500 people are now infected with the Corona Virus in Brescia with around 1,500 of them dead. Given these conditions the club from this region which is also named Brescia hopes that Serie A this season will not be continued.

Serie A itself is currently suspended until an undetermined time. However, there is a possibility that this competition will be rolled out again because some clubs demand it.

If that happens, Brescia will not play for the rest of the season. Cellino revealed that steps would be taken for the health of the players and to honor the victims who died due to Corona Virus.

Brescia will be considered a Walk Out (WO) if he chooses not to play. Their opponents for the rest of the season will certainly win 3-0.

“This season makes no sense anymore. All must be stopped, no team will return to the same condition as before. If the match is played in private there is still a risk to the health of the players,” Cellino was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Going back to play is a crazy thing. If they force us to do it, I am ready so that this team does not play and lose 0-3. This is to respect Brescia citizens and their loved ones who are not here anymore.”

Cellino also denied his desire to avoid Brescia from being degraded. Mario Balotelli and friends are currently in the position of key judges of the Italian League.

“I really don’t care about degradation. So far we really deserve to be in this position and it’s my fault,” he explained.
