Carragher: Liverpool Need Additional Attackers

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher suggests the Reds recruit new attackers. The name he recommended was Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

According to Carragher, Liverpool is currently too dependent on the trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. If one of the three is absent, then the Reds attack will be less attractive.

“I think Liverpool still lack one player who is an attacker who supports three attackers and almost makes him the fourth striker. There is still a big difference when one of the three forwards doesn’t play,” Carragher said at Soccerway.

“We saw that on another weekend when Salah was absent, at that time Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played upfront and was unsuccessful. We have seen Divock Origi, it doesn’t work either. “

“There may be talk of a man in the Bundesliga who came to England from Borussia Dortmund, namely Sancho, who is also heavily monitored by other Premier League clubs.”

“There have been some great players for Liverpool in the past who came in January. You think about Virgil van Dijk, Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger are great players for Liverpool, Daniel Sturridge too.”

“I want to see attacking players come, someone with a little more quality, maybe someone who can help them in the coming months. I don’t think that’s an area that Klopp really sees, but I hope it will be a very big summer for Liverpool, especially considering they didn’t recruit anyone last summer,” Carragher added.
