By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea reportedly plans to activate the minimum price clause for the purchase of Leipzig RB striker, Timo Werner.

In the ESPN report, this has made the Blues practically ahead of Liverpool in the competition for Werner’s signature. Reportedly, Chelsea is ready to offer a five-year contract with a salary of 200 thousand pounds per week.

Interested clubs still has to wait until June 15 to obtain the 24-year old player’s official price, and Chelsea are trying to move more nimbly after learning that Werner also intends to move to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool have long been known to be interested in Werner, where rumors have circulated that the two clubs are often interconnected and the player admires the Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp.

However, Chelsea are said to be considering diverting their main target to Lyon striker, Moussa Dembele if there is a big chance to land Werner.

Currently Chelsea are still trying to build attack lines, by bringing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax Amsterdam, while Pedro and Willian are preparing to leave on a free transfer.

Chelsea have been looking for new bangers throughout Europe for months, after they have relied heavily on Tammy Abraham this season.
