Chelsea Targeting Barcelona Players

By db-admin

DBasia.news –   Marc Cucurella is enjoying his best game at the moment on loan at Getafe from Barcelona. Chelsea have also targeted him.

The midfielder who usually operates on the left side is indeed in demand. Apart from Chelsea, there are other European clubs that are monitoring him, Napoli, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen for example.

Barcelona has an agreement with Getafe. An agreement that states Barcelona is able to sell Cucurella to Getafe for 6 million euros. Barcelona is also entitled to receive 40 percent of the sales price if Getafe decides to sell the player in the future.

If Getafe decides to keep Cucurella, they must include a purchase clause worth 25 million euros. A very attractive value for interested clubs.

As reported by Goal International, Chelsea have monitored the development of Cucurella for a while, who is also able to play as a left back. But so far Chelsea have only placed Cucurella at the bottom of their coveted list.

Chelsea needed a coating figure for Marcos Alonso, considering that Emerson Palmieri will likely return to Serie A next summer.

While Barca most likely will not pull back Cucurella despite appearing impressively with Getafe. Previously, Cucurella openly criticized Barca, who he said no longer provided opportunities for young players.

“I think Barca, as a big club, winning is everything. Maybe they don’t have the patience they used to. Young players like me don’t get the chance they deserve,” Cucurella said some time ago as quoted by Sport.
