Chris Smalling Humiliated by Cristiano Ronaldo
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Cristiano Ronaldo showed his ability in the match against As Roma. CR7 was seen several times able to go through Smalling without significant interference.
The Juventus star scored one goal from the spot when the Bianconeri won 2-1 over Roma in the continuing Italian League at the Stadio Olimpico, Monday (1/13/2020). Another goal for the visitors was Merih Demiral, while Il Lupi reduced the situation through Diego Perotti.
When the two teams’ match was underway, there was an interesting moment involving Ronaldo and Roma defender, Smalling. At that time, the Portuguese striker was receiving a bounce ball on the left side of the Roma penalty box.
Ronaldo’s effort to control the ball received a disturbance from Smalling who was behind him. Even so, CR7 was able to get past the former Manchester United player with a stunning touch.
After receiving the ball bait, Ronaldo then held the ball using his right foot and rubbed Smalling by turning his body. CR7 managed to escape from control and immediately sent the operands near the edge of the field.
Ronaldo’s shocking action then circulated widely on social media. Many fans were amazed by the sight of the 34-year-old player through the escort of Smalling.
“Ronaldo destroyed Smalling last night,” tweeted one fan on Twitter.
“Cristiano
Ronaldo sent Chris Smalling back to Manchester United with his skills in Serie
A,” another added.
Ronaldo’s action to tackle Smalling was only one of
his performances which was often a hassle for Roma’s back line. Citing Opta’s
data, he made 45 touches on the field, 31 passes, and took three shots with two
of them on target.
