DBasia.news – Thiery Henry is negotiating to be the coach of the Egypt national team. The issue was confirmed by the former Zamalek goalkeeper who is now the agent of sports marketing, Nader El-Sayad.

Nader El-Sayed had the meeting with Thierry Henry representative and Egypt Football Association (EFA), Hazem Emam, in London. As planned, the Arsenal legend will be the new coach for Mohamed Salah and friends.

According to El-Sayed, currently, Henry still needs time to consider the offer. Moreover, this would be the first time the France man to lead a national team.

“We had a meeting with Thierry Henry’s agent in London, and Hazem Emam was present. Henry is waiting for the EFA’s project for the team before deciding on the offer, apart from the economic aspect,” El-Sayed told local radio station.

Currently, Egypt national team has no coach after Hector Cuper left as the failure of bringing Mohamed Salah and friends to qualify the 2018 World Cup group qualification.

Meanwhile, Henry worked as the coach assistant for Belgium national team since 2016. He succeeded in bringing The Red Devils finished in the third position in the 2018 World Cup. Currently, the former Barcelona player wants to add more experience to his career.

Besides Egypt, Thierry Henry was rumored to be the target of Aston Villa. But, the Championship club decided to keep the current manager Steve Bruce.
