DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho was made despiteful after being accused for not being able to explore the potential of Harry Kane to the maximum. He also answered the criticism by revealing a number of facts.

The root of this problem is Kane’s poor performance during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Statistics record that the England national team striker not even once touched the ball in the opponent’s penalty box in the match.

Arsenal legend who now works as a pandit, Paul Merson then throws a pretty harsh criticism. He considered Kane could not develop with the game system used by Mourinho.

Got such strong criticism, Mourinho reacted. He felt the comments were very tendentious amid rumors of the attacker’s departure.

Mourinho finally replied to the accusation straightforwardly. He asked Merson to be more fair in providing views regarding the performance of pemaion in the field.

“First of all, Harry has played his first match for the past six months and if you watch the game and analyze it, compare Harry Kane with Anthony Martial,” Mourinho opened in a press conference session ahead of the match against West Ham United.

“You can easily see Harry’s goal record when I train. Open the data and it’s easy to see how many matches Harry played with me before injury and how many goals he scored.”

Harry Kane is recovering from an injury. He should be absent until the end of the season if the competition does not stretch the corona virus pandemic effect.

The 26-year-old striker played a total of ten times under Mourinho’s care before suffering a severe injury in January. The result, Kane contributed seven goals and one assist.

Do not stop there, Mourinho also reminded the public related to his track record in dealing with rows of sharp attackers. As is known, the Portuguese man had taken care of a number of world-class bombers such as Didier Drogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“I have one person (Didier) Drogba. He played for me (for) four seasons and scored 186 goals or an average of 46 goals per season,” Mourinho said again.

“I have one person who is not bad who now plays at Juventus. He (Ronaldo) played for me (for) three seasons, scored 168 goals and averaged 56 goals per season.”

“I have another player with me for more than one and a half season, a tall man named Zlatan (Ibrahimovic). He scored 58 goals or an average of 29 goals per season,” he added.

In addition to these three names, Mourinho also mentions Karim Benzema and Diego Milito as the sharpest strikers he has ever trained. He asked Merson and other critics to see this fact.

In essence, Mourinho wants to show himself experienced in expelling potential world-class attackers. He wants the public to believe that Kane was trained by the right people.
