DBasia.news – President of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, strongly critisized Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. According to him, a club with such a wealth of state is considered to have damage the order of football in the world.
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are clubs owned by Middle Eastern entrepreneurs. The Citizens are under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Group, while PSG is held by Watar Sports Ivenstment.
One of the similarities between the two owners is the close relationship with their respective kingdoms. Not surprisingly, Man City and PSG are very powerful in the transfer market.
Javier Tebas rate, the situation is not good for the football climate. According to him, clubs from countries with tight financial controls will find it difficult to compete in the transfer market.
“One of the problems in football is related to financial injections. As at present there is a state-funded club. That will have an impact on salaries,” Tebas explained on LaLiga TV.
“Which means, other countries with tight economic control such as Spanish and German clubs are unable to ask the country to help pay these salaries,” Tebas continued.
In fact, LaLiga also has a club known to be fond of fishing in the transfer market. Last summer, Real Madrid disbursed 100 million euros to bring in Eden Hazard. Meanwhile, Barcelona activated the release clause of Antoine Griezmann which reached 125 million euros.
“I’m not sure that we have helped football in any way if we make wealth and then immediately returned to a big club.”
“We are dealing with big clubs that
generate big funds. So, our goal is to provide that wealth,” he explained.
