Corona Virus Case in Spain Decreases, LaLiga Considers Title Match to be held w ith Spectators

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The LaLiga competition for the 2019-2020 season will be resumed starting June 11 in private. But the prestigious competition operator in Spain wants to hold the match as soon as possible by presenting spectators in the stadium.

This was revealed by the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas. He considered the development of the corona virus cases that has began to decline raises a glimmer of hope to realize this.

“I support playing in public as soon as possible,” Tebas told COPE.

Tebas’ desire is in line with the idea of Las Palmas President, Miguel Angel Ramirez. He had indeed asked for permission to hold his home game with the audience even though the Spanish government finally refused.

Ramirez stated that the corona virus positive cases in the Las Palmas area were very low. He was sure the safety of the audience would be guaranteed by the application of the protocol to enter a strict stadium.

It seems that Ramirez’s wish was seriously thought by Tebas. He and other LaLiga officials are now preparing a plan to present a limited number of spectators for the rest of the season.

“It’s possible this could happen in some cities before others, and I support that,” he added.

A number of regions in Spain have indeed begun to loosen lockdown policies. But the movement in big cities like Madrid and Barcelona is still very limited due to the large positive cases of the corona virus.

The plan to present the audience actually had already been discussed by the FA. The English football federation wants to make this happen in the FA Cup final match which is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on August 1.
