DBasia.news – Philippe Coutinho hasn’t moved on yet from Liverpool. He is still contributing to Liverpool positively.
The player was one of the reasons why Alisson Becker chose to wear The Reds jersey. Liverpool spent the 75 million euro budget to recruit Alisson from AS Roma. Moreover, the transfer fee made Alisson as world’s most expensive goalkeeper, before Chelsea recruited Kepa Arizzabalaga from Athletic Bilbao, 5 million euro higher.
Apparently, Alisson needed some considerations before accepting Liverpool’s offer. The suggestion from his compatriot, Philippe Coutinho, was one of them.
“He spoke highly of Jurgen [Klopp, Liverpool manager] and about the players. He said there is no vanity in the squad but it’s a very ambitious squad with a strong desire to win,” Alisson said reported by Soccerway.
“Coutinho also said he was very happy here with his family, which is really important. Our wives spoke to each other too and they said they had a great time living here, and we are very happy,” the goalkeeper revealed.
Alisson recruited to replace Loris Karius as the main goalkeeper of Liverpool. No wonder, in some important matches, Karius often did the blunder resulted to the defeat.
Despite the blunder in the match against Leicester City, Alisson’s performance was worth the thumbs. In six initial matches of Premier League, The Reds just conceded twice. The impressive record brought Liverpool to the top of temporary standing.
