Covid-19 Impact, Jose Mourinho Modifies Tottenham Hotspur’s Training Program

Tottenham’s squad is scheduled to return to training on Monday (3/30) local time. Interestingly, Son Heung-min and his colleagues will do it separately in each residence.

Although practicing independently, the players still have to do so seriously. That’s because their activities are monitored directly by Mourinho and other coaching staff via video.

They have received individual training programs from the training team with equipment from static bicycles to barbells. While players who are recovering from injury also underwent online training sessions with the physiotherapy team.

Tottenham midfielder, Harry Winks felt awkward with this way of training. But as a professional player, he is ready to live it.

“We have all been given a schedule, but the time is flexible according to our own. For example I might not exercise in the morning, but then I can exercise in the afternoon. The important thing is to do it,” Winks stated as quoted by Sky Sports.

“It’s a little weird, but I’m getting used to it. Regarding fitness, I’m fine because I use the gym here.”

In addition to training, Tottenham players’ nutrition is also monitored. Club nutritionists have provided a list of foods that must be consumed.

Premier League is scheduled to continue on April 30. Tottenham certainly must immediately step on the gas in order to improve their position that is currently still stuck in eighth position.
