Covid-19 Pandemic Makes Tottenham Hotspur Will Not Be Wasteful on the Transfer Market
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho believes there will be a delay in the transfer window activity for Premiere League clubs, and he insists his club will not be wasteful amid the co-19 pandemic.
Tottenham Hotspurs are currently eighth in the Premiere League standings before the prestigious competition in England was suspended in March due to the corona virus pandemic.
Mourinho said his players wanted to return to playing but he tried to cool down hopes of a big transfer next summer.
“The first question after this is when will the transfer window open?” Mourinho told Sky Sports.
“I’m not sure that will happen again in July or August, certainly more backward than that.”
“It’s normal when you will have a different market, I don’t see the world – especially the world of football – ready to see crazy numbers like we used to have.”
“I want my club to be what I know: reasonable, balanced and not going to spend a lot of money. We are trying to appreciate this [crisis] situation, not just football but the situation in the world and the general public as a whole,” he concluded.
