Cristiano Ronaldo Admits Zidane’s Big Role in Improving His Ability

DBasia.news –  Parting with Zinedine Zidane did not diminish the respect of the Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, to his former Real Madrid coach. Ronaldo acknowledged Zidane’s big role in improving his abilities.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane worked together when they were still at Real Madrid. Both figures have an important role in the success of El Real won three consecutive Champions League titles.

The Portuguese superstar revealed Zidane was the coach who made him feel part of the team. Inevitably, CR7 gives great respect to the coach. 

“The confidence that a player needs does not only come from himself but also the surrounding players and coaches,” Ronaldo said as reported by DAZN.

“You need to feel part of the team and Zidane makes me special. He helps me a lot. I respect him, but working with him makes me more impressed,” added the player.

Cristiano Ronaldo followed in the footsteps of Zinedine Zidane leaving Real Madrid at the start of the 2018-2019 season. In fact, the former Manchester United player was once rumored to be back to work with Zidane at Los Blancos. 

“It’s more because of how he as a person, how he talks, how he leads the team, and how he treats me.”

“He told me: ‘Cris, relax and play your game, you will make the difference.’ He is always honest with me and that is why I will always feel love for him,” said Ronaldo.

Zinedine Zidane has a tough task to restore the glory of Real Madrid in Spain and Europe. Last season, Madrid failed to defend the Champions League title.
