DBasia.news – Without sending the prominent players, Barcelona made a brave decision. Ernesto Valverde didn’t send Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, Philippe Coutinho, and Jordi Alba in Sevilla’shome.
The match between Sevilla against Barca is the first leg of Copa del Rey quarter-final and they are the current leading clubs in LaLiga table. This is beneficial for Sevilla hence the 2-0 victory by the goals from Pablo Sarabia and Wissam Ben Yedder.
Sevilla coach Pablo Machin is thankful for the clean sheet in the first leg.
“Keeping a clean sheet was extra important tonight, it’s hard to keep one against Barça and it puts us in a good position for the second leg.”
“We will go with these advantages and this should be used properly, as in the first leg of the match,” Machin continued.
The second leg between Barca against Sevilla would be conducted at Camp Nou, January 31st. It would be an interesting match.
