Defeating Liberia, Chad National Team Wins Victory Thanks to Ezechiel’s Goal

DBasia.news – Liberia was successfully defeated by the Chad national team on Sunday (10/13). This victory succeeded in bringing the Chad national team through to the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup Qualifying group phase.
Chad meets Liberia in the 2021 Africa Cup Pre-Qualification. The winner of the match will make sure to step up to the qualifying group phase.
After the first leg, Liberia won by a score of 1-0, Chad turned things around while playing at their own turf at the Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya in N’Djamena, Capital of Chad. They won through the shootout with a score of 5-4 after winning in normal time with a score of 1-0.
Persib Bandung striker, Ezechiel N’Douassel became the main actor in the victory of the team nicknamed the Les Sao. His goal in the 60th minute successfully forced the match to proceed to the penalty shootout round.
Previously, Liberia were opressed as to playing at Chad’s turf. Moreover they have to play with 10 players after their team captain, Sam Johnson was given a red card directly by the referee after a foul. Playing with 10 players has made Les Sao unimpeded to pressure Liberia.
With this victory, Les Sao joined Group A of the 2021 Africa Cup of Qualifiers with Mali, Guinea and Namibia who have been in the group without going through the pre-qualification process.
As many as 48 teams will fill the 2021 African Cup Qualifying round. They are divided into 12 groups from Group A to L. Of these, only 24 countries can appear in the Africa Cup of 2021.
