DBasia.news – Former Inter Milan legendary striker, Milan Milito gave his support to Lautaro Martinez to choose Barcelona as his new home. Milito believes Martinez is a young striker who has the ability to become a partner duo with Lionel Messi.
Diego Milito, who is now sporting director at Racing Club, has fully left it to Lautaro Martinez to determine his future. However, he considered the opportunity to join Barcelona could not be ignored.
“I think he is fine at Inter. However, playing in Barcelona, along with Messi, is an extraordinary opportunity for him. He is a complete player and has done extraordinary things at Inter.” Diego Milito told Movistar as quoted from Todo Noticias.
Nevertheless, Milito dismissed the notion that he already knew something about Lautaro Martinez. “I really don’t know what will happen. Lately, I have heard so many rumors, “said the Nerazzurri hero I in the 2009-10 Champions League final.
As the Racing Club sporting director, Diego Milito is considered by several parties to have a major contribution to Martinez’s move to Inter Milan. However, he dismissed it. He asserted, the striker was transferred to the Nerazzurri solely because of his slick ability.
Lately, Martinez has continued to be linked with Barcelona. The Argentine was considered suitable to be a substitute for Luis Suarez on the front lines of El Barca. Moreover, he was already accustomed to collaborating with Lionel Messi in the Argentine national team.
Barcelona manager, Quique Setien, did not rule out Lautaro Martinez coming. He claimed to be captivated by the ability and performance of the player who is good with Inter Milan and the Argentine national team. According to him, Blaugrana was always interested in recruiting such players.
