DBasia.news –  Atletico Madrid coach who is also an Argentine Legend, Diego Simeone, said he was proud of the changes that occurred in his former two teams, Inter Milan and Lazio this season. According to him, the development of his two former teams was considered able to stop the pace of Juventus.

This season, Inter and Lazio have become Juventus’ strongest competitors in the mission of defending the Scudetto. Inter currently sit in third place of the standings with 54 points while Lazio is in second position after reaching 56 points.

Gli Aquile successfully finished as runner-up after beating Inter last weekend. The victory has made Simone Inzaghi’s players now only have one point difference with Juventus who still control the top of the standings.

“At the moment, Inter and Lazio are able to show extraordinary performances. They are the two clubs that I love very much, “Diego Simeone said as quoted on the Italian Football website.

“I am thrilled as they are able to rival Juventus this season. As you know, Juventus has indeed become king in Italy in recent years, “continued Simeone.

Simeone himself is one of the players who defended Inter and Lazio. The Argentinian played for the Nerazzurri in 1997 to 1999. Afterwards, he decided to defend Gli Aquile from 1999 to 2003.

In 2003, Simeone left Lazio to defend Atletico Madrid. Two years later, he decided to return to Argentina and play at the Racing Club before finally retiring in 2006.
