Edinson Cavani Reveals His Club Goal after Manchester United

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Edinson Cavani admits he is interested in a move to Argentine giants Boca Juniors after his career with Manchester United ends.

As is known, Cavani has just signed a contract with the Red Devils, joining as a free agent on Monday (5/10) yesterday after spending seven seasons with PSG.

The 33-year-old is under a one-year contract at the start of his agreement with United and has the option to extend for another 12 months and will earn a salary of € 11 million (£ 10 million / $ 13 million) per season at Old Trafford.

Before joining United, Cavani admitted that he had discussions with Boca vice president Juan Roman Riquelme about the possibility of moving to Argentina.

“Roman messaged me with great respect, he wanted to know how I would respond in this situation, with a very special salary and we speak with great respect,” Cavani told ESPN.

“Boca is a world giant, all footballers want to play there. There are several Uruguayans who have played there. Just following our football history has aroused a little curiosity.”

“There are some secrets in the conversation with Roman, you have to ask him if he wants to tell that. We will see what happens in the future. It will be great to play in Boca one day.”

Although Cavani, who is given the number 7 jersey at United, insists he is focused on his current club, he is also considering when to return to South America.

“I have a two-year contract with Manchester United. I want to do my best here. I feel good,” continued Cavani.

“The day I return to South America will not be the day I have nothing left to give. I’m realistic, I want to play as far as I feel good. I will play in the next two years [with United] and see if I can continue it or go back to South America.”
