Milan coach, Stefano Pioli did not deny that his team’s performance has increased after the lockdown. The Rossoneri are thrilled to be able to defeat Lazio and Juventus.
“The team is enjoying themselves. That is what you can say from the way the players worked in training, during the match, and every time we spent together,” Pioli told DAZN.
“We worked well during the lockdown. Thanks to the efforts of the players, but its the mentality that made the difference. At the moment we are a team. We have confidence that what is done would make everything work better.”
“Previously, we did not have the ability to beat the team above us. However, we have beaten Lazio and Juventus. So, that is a signal that we have raised the level,” stated Pioli. AC Milan are in sixth place of the standings after reaping 56 points. That way, the Rossoneri’s chance to play in the Europa League is still available.
