Erling Haaland Sets a Record that Messi and Ronaldo do not have

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Erling Braut Haaland once again adorned the media thanks to his shiny appearance. After scoring three goals against Genk in the first matchday of the 2019/2020 Champions League, he is now getting a better achievement, not even owned by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Instead of scoring six goals in the first three matches in the Champions League, Lionel Messi has just broken the opponent’s goal in his fifth appearance. Cristiano Ronaldo is worse. The Portuguese superstar had to wait until the 20th match to score his first goal in the Champions League.

How about Raul Gonzalez? In his first season, 1995-96, he was able to score six goals. However, unlike Erling Haaland, he scored in eight matches. In the first three games, the Real Madrid legend was only packing three goals. That’s thanks to a hat-trick against Ferencvaros in the third appearance.

The only player who approached Erling Haaland’s record was Didier Drogba. During his debut season in the Champions League with Olympique Marseille in 2003-04, he was able to score five goals in the first three matches. He scored one goal against Real Madrid, then a hat-trick against Partizan Belgrade, and one goal against FC Porto.
