European League: Manchester United and Arsenal Both Achieved Victory
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United and Arsenal also competed in the 2019-2020 European League group matches, Thursday (10/24) PM and Friday (10/25) AM. The two big Premier League clubs each managed to win two different matches.
Starting from the match at Partizan Stadium between the host, Partizan Belgrade, against Man United. In the continuing third match in the group L, the Red Devils won with a score of 1-0 through a penalty scored by Anthony Martial on the 43rd minutes.
The penalty was awarded after a foul in the restricted area to Brandon Williams, Man United’s left-back. Thanks to this result, Man United are at the top of the standings with seven points, followed by AZ Alkmaar (five points), Partizan (four points), and Astana (nirpoin).
Man United did win. However, the score was quite alarming as United exceled in possession of the ball up to 61 percent. However, they only released five kicks and one of them was right on target, while Partizan had 15 kicks and two were on target.
No doubt, to hone the final settlement of the players is homework for the manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The victory was also the first away win since the last victory against PSG last season in the Champions League.
Continuing to Emirates Stadium. Arsenal were troubled by the Portugal representative, Vitoria SC, in the third match continuing Europa League group F. In fact, the Gunners were left behind 1-2 from Marcus Edwards (8 ‘) and Bruno Duarte (36’), reduced by Gabriel Martinelli (32 ‘).
Arsenal’s new comeback occurred towards the end of the second half through two goals scored by Nicolas Pepe (80 ‘and 90 + 2’). Arsenal wiped out three games with a victory, won nine points, and are above Eintrach Frankfurt (six points), Standard Liege (three points), and Vitoria (no points).
