First time being a Starter, Quique Setien Praised Ronald Araujo’s Appearance

DBasia.news – Barcelona coach, Quique Setien praised Ronald Araujo. He believes that his young defender has performed superbly in his first starter match with El Blaugrana.
Earlier this morning, Barcelona underwent their first match after the resumption of La Liga. They faced Real Mallorca at Iberostar Estadi.
In this match, Setien gave his young defender Ronald Araujo a chance to start. The defender was played as a tandem to Gerard Pique and played the full 90 minutes in the match.
Setien was satisfied with the young defender’s debut. “He [Araujo] played extraordinary today,” Setien told Marca.
Setien considered that the 21-year-old defender showed a neat and consistent performance since the beginning of the game.
So he feels that the defender can be proud of his competitive debut match with the El Blaugrana squad.
“He overcomes all problems well, and he doesn’t really force himself to show his abilities. So I think he can feel proud of his performance and also his first start.”
Setien also praised his team’s overall performance in the match against Real Mallorca this morning. He considered his team to have played neatly despite being absent for a long while.
“Today we managed to do many things that we wanted to try to do. We did things that we had prepared beforehand.”
“We did give them [Mallorca] a chance several times, but in general I am satisfied with the team’s performance.” he concluded.
Thanks to this victory, Barcelona have collected a total of 61 points from 29 La Liga matches this season. They are five points ahead of Real Madrid who will be playing this morning.
