Former CEO Explains Inter Milan’s reason for curving when wanting to bring in Ibrahimovic

DBasia.news –  Former AC Milan CEO, Adriano Galliani, claimed to have received an agreement with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer of 2006. Unfortunately, he apparently failed to bring in the attacker.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on the rise with Juventus in 2004 to 2006. However, the case of Calciopoli which befell Juventus has made Ibrahimovic decide to leave. Ibra doesn’t want to play in Serie B.

AC Milan moved swiftly by contacting Ibrahimovic. They reached a personal agreement.

“I still remember our monitoring of Ibrahimovic, even when he was at Ajax Amsterdam. He was a great striker, but he didn’t score many goals,” Galliani explained as reported by Sky Sports.

“Ibra has a bad final settlement. However, he became much better at Juventus under Fabio Capello. That also happened because of Italo Galbiati.”

Unfortunately, AC Milan was also dragged into the flow of Calciopoli. Inter Milan, who had just arrived managed to secure the signature of the Swedish striker.

“Actually, in the summer of 2006 after Calciopoli, we could say that we got it. Our director, Ariedo Braida, came to the training camp and said he managed to get an agreement from Ibra,” Galliani stated.

“However, AC Milan were also dragged into Calciopoli. So, in the end he headed for Inter Milan. So, Ibra should have joined Milan since 2006, not in 2010.”

Currently, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back to strengthen AC Milan. Of the 10 matches, the 38-year-old striker created four goals plus one assist.
