Frank Lampard’s praise for Christian Pulisic
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Christian Pulisic scored a hat-trick against Burnley in Week 10 of the Premier League. Pulisic is on the right path to follow in the footsteps of Eden Hazard’s success.
Playing at Turf Moor, Burnley headquarters, on Week 10 of the Premier League on Saturday night Western Indonesian Time (26/10), Chelsea won 4-2 through triggers Pulisic (21′, 45′ and 56′) and Willian’s goal (58′), which reduced goals by Jay Rodriguez (86′) and Dwight McNeil (89′).
For the first time after Clint Dempsey, a former Fulham striker, there is a player from the United States who scored a hat-trick in the Premier League. Pulisic also became the youngest hat-trick printer to beat Tammy Abraham’s record at 21 years 38 days.
Frank Lampard, the Chelsea manager, could not withstand the praise for the former Borussia Dortmund player. Pulisic, according to him, showed his complete ability with a hat-trick printed at Turf Moor.
“The way he practiced for the past few weeks and the impact he made when he played (as if) told everyone ‘Here I am’ and how great his talent is,” Lampard said praising Pulisic, quoted by Goal.
“I am very happy with him today, this is what we need from all of our offensive players – to be a threat, to play like that, to have cruelty by the way they complete their chances. He showed the full package (of his ability) today.”
Slowly but surely, Pulisic, who was bought for 58 million pounds from January 2019 adapted well to Chelsea’s game and English soccer culture. The adaptation process went quite slow because Pulisic played with the national team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
“I am fully happy for him. A lot of talk around Christian because of the price, the fact that he became a star for his country and also played for (the national team) the United States as well,” added Lampard.
“From my point of view, I’m happy to see him doing what he did today because I know his background, I know the pressure is moving as he does.”
“I also know he has played for his country all summer and has a week’s break this summer. Then you get the pressure ‘Can you adapt in the Premier League’, so I try to help him the best way, give him minutes to play.”
It is still too early to see Pulisic being able to replace Hazard, who has moved to Real Madrid, but the young American superstar has gone the right way to continue his success.
“Pulisic almost even scored another goal. He was the only player who showed a good idea to play. Completely replaced Hazard,” said one citizen on Twitter.
“The way the Chelsea team is playing shows the level of confidence they have from back to front. Abraham was unlucky to score today, but Pulisic showed that he could replace Hazard in the team.”
