Frank Lampard, the Chelsea manager, assessed that his men were giving too many chances that Manchester United could maximize. In that match, Chelsea were defeated by Man United.

Chelsea made their debut with Frank Lampard in the inaugural week of the 2019-2020 Premier League. The Blues visited Manchester United’s headquarters, Old Trafford, Sunday (11/8).

Strengthened by the majority of young players, in fact, Chelsea had the chance to master the game. However, their goal was broken thanks to Marcus Rashford’s penalty kick.

An additional three goals in the second half made Chelsea’s pain worse. Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford’s second goal, and Daniel James buried the Blues 0-4.

According to Frank Lampard, Chelsea played better at the start of the match. However, Christian Pulisic and his friends were not helped by Goddess Fortuna.

“Chelsea played better until the first hour of the match. Evidently, we made individual mistakes that made the goal conceded four times,” said Frank Lampard.

“The harsh reality for us. If we could win 2-1 or 3-1, during the break, we could take better advantage of opportunities. Unfortunately, we were less fortunate. The results of the match were very different.”

“Manchester United are more able to take advantage of opportunities. Chelsea recorded a lot of kicks and played more attacking. But we were careless and could not score goals,” he continued.

Furthermore, Chelsea will face Liverpool in the European Super Cup. After that Frank Lampard led his squad to host Leicester in the Premier League continued.
