Frenkie de Jong Wants to Retire in Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – There is no better club than Barcelona. Dutch midfielder, Frenkie de Jong, wants to retire with the club nicknamed the Blaugrana.
De Jong was brought in by Barcelona from Ajax in the transfer market last summer with the official tag of 75 million Euros. The 22-year-old player was considered the perfect player to become a long-term replacement for the aging Sergio Busquets.
“I want to stay here for long. Maybe until the end of my professional football career, “said Frenkie de Jong, as quoted from the Diario Sport page.
“I always wanted to play for Barcelona and I’m happy here. In my eyes, there is no club greater than Barcelona. I am already at the highest level, “continued De Jong.
This season, De Jong has begun to be the key to Barcelona’s game. However, he admitted that he was still unsatisfied with his performance throughout the 2019-20 season.
“I certainly feel glad. I hope to maintain this performance until the end of the season. However, I also want to continue to grow. I have played well and want to be better. “
“If judged, maybe I would get a 6.5. I have gotten plenty of playing time and I feel thriled. However, I know that I can still perform better, “said De Jong.
