Frenkie de Jong’s Father Prefers His Son Joins Barcelona

DBasia.news – John de Jong, the father of Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong also talks about his son’s future. He prefers his son joins Barcelona, even though de Jong would decide his own future.

Frenkie de Jong is one of the most-wanted players in the transfer market. The Ajax Amsterdam player is considered having a complete capability as a midfielder.

According to the news, de Jong has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain this season. But, the father opens up the possibility to join another club.

“He has to decide for himself. He is clever enough. He probably does that somewhere in the spring,” John de Jong told Voetbal Primeur.

“It’s 95 percent certain that he leaves. What would suit him best is a team that plays football, and all the clubs that are interested are footballing teams,” the father continued.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Frenkie de Jong tried to deny the chance of leaving Ajax. “I don’t know yet what I will do at the end of the season, whether I will stay for an extra year or if I will join another club,” De Jong reviewed.

Besides Barcelona and PSG, De Jong is the target of Manchester City. The Citizens manager, Pep Guardiola, assumes the 21-year-old player could be their future asset.
